“A disconcerting film- quite unusual Nollywood fare. Powerful stuff indeed- Kudos to the director for venturing into the new zone of cinema, but I understand why it would not be popular with Nollywood audiences- troubling portrayal of a deeply dysfunctional family with the mysterious tragic happenings that remind us both of Hollywood’s bent for the spine chiller. The films strongest point is the absolutely phenomenal acting by all the actors: Mercy Johnson, Eucharia, the young man playing the son and so on. Whew. Some excellent shots too- check out the headshot in part 2 of the son and his teen friend dancing and freezing with faces up close. The film does try too hard and has some flaws in a subplot but yes- unlike most Nollywood films, this one cannot be easily forgotten. I’m glad I watched it.”

“I tend to be critical of this category of cinema, but this one had interesting storylines wrapping its message of forgiveness and redemptive love, eg the village women and their social uprising for equity etc - somehow all came together in a film with both serious and hilarious moments as when the women chased a husband all the way to the kings courtyard! or the mad escape from a "ghost".”

“starts bad, deteriorates fast and ends you in its pile of cinema dung. load of incoherent nonsense. Frankly- I am one frustrated viewer this week. ..reduced to trying to watch such junk- we got a collection of dismal films. Izogn- your call!”

“Part 2 takes off in like vein as part 1. Really suspenseful- I keep waiting for the crises to break lose. Unfortunately, seems like we must wait for the continuation "lost in the forest".”

“whew- a tense and taut one. Not a typical "traditional film" like the cover implies. Youth corps members from the city get lost and stumble into the spooky affairs of an isolated village controlled by the king, (Olu Jacobs) and a priestess (Patience Ozokwor). Despite some flaws - a great cast keeps you on the edge of your seat.”

“did someone say why are some women so evil? only because nollywood directors are convinced the devil hid in a woman's heart when kicked out of Eden. Good actors in an aggravatingly implausible tale written by some wronged man. A greedy ambitious immoral professional woman would not hand over a suitcase containing a kings ransome to her daughters boyfriend- she would steal and keep it for her new house in Ikoyi. & if she was so ambitious- why would she support a boyfriend who loses all his money every other day? & really Who keeps a million dollars casually in his wardrobe and informs all and sundry? The story is a joke - a competition to see who can make the worst mom-daughter team in Nollywood history. (thief+murderer+ kidnapper+stupid + etc)- all entertaining but stupid”
