I love Nigeria, and films like TOTAL WAR can only further proved the potentials of this great African country; the abundance of talents, creative ingenuity, one common goal of success in a hostile environment, combine to make Nigeria what she is.I can only hope that God will keep on keeping us as one country.

A wonderful story which goes to show the terrifying horror of that people has to live with( the individual that commited the crime and the victims) after war. we all know evil doers will one way or the other pay for their sins but vengance should be left to GOD no matter how painful; for it is said to" forgive is devine".
GO NIGERIANS GO. " SPLENDID JOB".

This movie showcase the reason why we need to have holy ghost and God fearing churches to intercede during crisis and trials and tribulations. Forgiveness is the key to true freedom.

The story line is very powerfull, forgiveness in this case is very, very hard however, forgiveness is what we need in life. To become fruitfull in life we need to forgive each other.

The film digs a powerful tunnel through to the pain, agony and dilemma of societies that must live in the aftermath of war and trauma of violence. The raw emotions, characterization and attention to detail are impressive and the flaws seem minor in comparison. This film takes us beyond the initial encounter with violence shown in films like "Hotel Rwanda". Despite Ainehi's personal frustrations with prayer; I am sure he is aware as most social scientists, that it is in the deepest recesses of the heart, spirit and soul that such social dilemmas like the consequences of violence are ultimately fought and resolved: how to forgive, if to forgive etc are realities of faith. No wonder churches and faith based NGOs have become critical agents in rebuilding war torn societies. So calm down Aneihi: the director made the right call in situating the question of how to deal with a changed former warlord within a context of faith. It is naive to conceptualize it as a simple social issue. Activists worldwide are frustrated with the failures of prisons and other punitive measures to deal with social transformation and certainly not with societal recovery from deep seated pain.

Great story line. Faith, sincerity, repentance and prayer is the key to life as we know it. Splendid movie captures life's conflict right to the core, can't wait to see part 3.

i completely disagree with ainehi! prayer IS what nigeria and any other country for that matter needs. nobody should blame religion for the handiwork of rotten, selfish, corrupt individuals who do not care for their own country. rest assured, everyone will get what's coming to him/her no matter how far he/she tries to run.
this movie was great!!!! highly recommended.

there were a few interesting things going on. even though the script was appalling. For example, Francis Duru handled the Major Over Heat character really well. I was rather impressed. Also the war scences were pretty good for a Naija movie. I was a bit put off by the whole church crap. Why cant Nigerians simply engage social issues without bringing up church? 47 years of prayer and Nigeria is still one of the poorest and socially disenabling country in the world. Cant we get the picture? Prayer sucks as a remedy to social problems. Ditch it and start a revolution.

THE SECOND PART WAS HARD TO WATCH DUE TO THE FACT THAT EVENTS LIKE THIS ARE NOT FICTION. THEY ARE UNFORTUNATELY PART OF OUR WORLD FROM PAST AND PRESENT, I ONLY PRAY THAT OUR FUTURE WILL IMPROVE, BUT FROM THE LOOKS OF IT WE HAVE A VERY VERY LONG WAY TO GO.
I GIVE THE WRITERS CREDIT FOR PAINTING THIS ALREADY VIVID REALITY INTO BRIGHTER AND BOLDER COLORS.
I CAN'T WAI TO SEE THE 3RD PART!!!

I tried to put myself in Sandra and Susan's shoes wheather I would be able to forgive the so called major Overheat. Really I dont know what I would have done. I found it hard to blame anybody's action but what I just have to say is that before one takes any action in life one should alway be aware that there is always tommorrow. Let us not live our lives as if we've got only today. Let us always know that the decision we take today has a way of affecting our tommorrow. Kudos to Frank Duru he is one of the actors I respect soo much in Nollywood. I have always known him to be a born actor. Keep up the good job.
