I have to be honest. I really did not like this movie. It was so boring to me that I fell asleep near the end. Maybe I will watch it again at a later date. I doubt it though.

I enjoyed watching this movie,both part 1 and 2. I had a good laugh, but as for the producer next time you wanna imitate Jamaican patois, please do so without desparaging it. Also that wanna be rasta look and attitude is a belittlement of the rasta tradition. I am no rasta but rastas are no just bombs. They are good people just different tradition. I give the movie 4 stars for the actors and actresses I think they tried their best, they just need to work with better producers.

as a jamaican, i could only watch one minute of this garbage. disgusting stereotypes, horrible use of patois and supposed jamaican accent. and the random dreadlock costume hat? desmond and rita should be more cultured than to participate in this crap. nollywood, stick to what you know...ugh!

I understand your angst as Bruno certainly did not capture the accent, ethos or philosophy of most Rastafarians. But if you watched more closely through the film, I think you would have understood that this was the point. Desmond was deliberately acting the character of a fraudster duping folks into believing he was a genuine Rastafarian. Many people seem to be missing this point. But it is clearly demonstrated by the way in which the director makes the Bruno-Desmond character switch completely into deep-raw-Igbo-pidgin at key moments. This is a humorous cue just to remind us that he is meant to be a fake Rastafarian. So if you feel disposed to watch this film again through- remember that Bruno is NOT supposed to be a real Rastafarian, but a fraudster type- one which most folks can easily detect a mile off. I think its a brilliant move by the film maker as a way of mocking the many wannabee Rastafarians and wannabee Bob Marley’s in other parts of the world. So there is no need for folks to defend Desmond, Jamaica or Nigeria. The issue is that Jamaica and the Rastafarian identity have become admired and copied in many societies and Bruno's character was to be one of the many raw local pidgin speakers trying to make out he was a serious Rastafarian. The director is not mocking Jamaica but poking fun at those who want to claim Jamaican or Rastafarian identities. I thought it was an entertaining and yet insightful film.

If u dont see any sense in this movie cos u are a Jamaican, then no movie will make sense to u. Acting is a proffession of imitating ideas, actions events etc.
