Oh my God this was a damn good and beautiful movie.I liked the clear images it has and the nice music .The actors and actresses did an amazing job.I wish i could give it 1000 stars or even an award.

I have never been so proudly mesmerized, enthralled and captivated by a Nollywood film. Oh Kudos Kudos and Kudos again to the entire crew and cast. This is what we have been waiting for. The story, nuanced and powerful acting, the triumphant, pure feel goodism of the film takes us to the place where the heart is finally anchored by a film. The directing, music, scenery etc aaah- do read Lugard's review below- he says it all.

I have watched many nigerian movies,but this one actually has a very very very very very very very very very ... high standard. The setting is original ,and the cast superb. So at last ,something really really really really really ... good can come out of Nollywood. Pardon me for my long words, this film is good!

Ladies and "gentle-ducks" as Bugs Bunny would say, everyone, young and old, please, you really need to sit calmly somewhere and watch this one ooo! Get your pop-corn, corn-meal, agidi or moi moi - and see yourself in the cinema for this one:
This is simply beautiful and wonderful in all of its moving and inspiring creativity plus originality. I am enchanted. Yes, my people! Nollywood, this is a movie. That's what I've been talking about. If you are a Nigerian, this movie should add to your pride in being Nigerian.
This is, with contentment for me, five stars for the story, plot, setting, shooting, production, dialogue, scene sequence, sound tracks, theatricals and dramatic performance from cast.
Omotayo, you hit the nail on the head. This "White Waters" is the amazing stuff real movies are made of. And I gladly like the various sound tracks too. This one can compete wherever on this planet good plus uplifting movies are seen.
This is truly a story of the rejected stone becoming the head stone. After rejection by his mother and step-father for not being bright at school, Melvin ends up with his grand-mother in the village.
From running erands to the village doctor for his grand-mother, Melvin becomes part of the local government's athletics team, found love; was blackmailed by jealous team mates; but survives all obstacles to win the national running competition. Surely, for Melvin, it was "a long way to Tiperery." But he finally made it - just as this movie should be an unwavering inspiration for everyone working hard to make it to the promised land of humane success on this trying and sometimes devastating journey called life.
Above all, this "White Waters" is also a powerful and deeply inspiring take on the true meaning of what this challenging journey through life can be about. One cannot let other people talk one down the path of self-pity and rejection. Making head-way in life is all about always getting up after we fall; taking things one day at a time; and being ever willing to go all the way - as Melvin subtly; but inspiringly showed us in this movie.
Humbly, I recommend this "White Waters" to every human being around the world. This should surely be a proud and encouraging production for the Nigerian film industry - to show the world that it is really possible for Nollywood to get out of its multiple parts television drama series mentality; and start making movies of international standard.
I am very impressed. A great , respectful salute and goodwill to the writer, cast, producer, director, Amstel Malta; and all those involved in bringing us this "White Waters" - one of the most amazing and inspiring movies to come out of Nollywood. I am sure to watch this "White Waters" again several times with friends and family.

It is even more heart-warming and uplifting to note that "White Waters" was set and shot on the mountains around one of Nigeria's most amazing natural landscape endowments - the Farin Ruwa waterfalls in Nassarawa State.

Humpty I know is your view but I disagreed with you the movie was good one of the best movie to come from nollywood the storyline and the acting was on point loved every bit of this movie and is a very emotional movie I have the dvd copy it a must watch, nollywood did their thing this movie was different from the usual nollywood storyline I am so impress with the movie in terms of storyline, acting, picture and sound quality a very good movie production.

is great to know that this is a movie made out of nollywood. I watch it on air and had to go grab a copy, saying the movie is an Ok show is being unfair to the cast and writer. infact saying the movie is nice is an understatement.......... guys more of it pls.
