What a story, I am tempted to think my mother in law told the story for this movie. It is exactly what she went through for 22 years. The children witnessed this horror during that time. I am told that on one occasion, my husband who is the eldest child and was then in Secondary school, got a knife and cut his fathers' back open and on another occasion attempted to throw him from a three story building. The sad part is that this is usually not physical but more of the spiritual problem. My husband whose history I did not know attempted to start this cycle with me. We met in Lagos and he was a lagos big boy and extremely romantic. After reading every edition of Mills & Boon at that time I felt my novel dreams had come true. I married him without consulting anyone. I got my first beating when I was 8months pregnant and for no reason. Fast-forward, my husband is now born again and is trying so hard to overcome the evil spirit. My mother in law is a Minister and is still living with the husband. Sometimes, she remembers the suffering and just wants to take the roof off the house but most of the time, she is ok. My point is that this kind of sins are not easy to forgive. The giver forgets it easily but the receiver will live with the scar for a long time. The victims are usually the children. No man should beat a woman. It is a very grievious sin.

Very nice movie, the storyline is sooooo realistic loved every part of it. Yul is such a good actor he looks sooo much like his father Pete Edochie. The movie has sooo much to offer it a must watch for every family.
