The movie was good. I don't think it promotes polygamy vs. monogamy. It just teaches that when faced with a choice between a wife beater vs. an adulterer that its better to choose the wife beater. LOLOLOLOLOL. These movies always try to teach a lesson but sometimes its just better to have a good storyline and acting and not worry so much about teaching a lesson. Still very good movie though. Didn't learn a thing but that's okay, I watch movies for the entertainment value, I'm not looking to be schooled.

first of all,this movie is well acted,no doubt about it.... bravo!!! secondly,i think in some ways is talking about a polygamy life...well as we all know polygamy in nigeria is accepted...and not all polygamy marriages do fall apart as the like of this film...in otherwords there should be a part2..to let us know the life of joju and her married life whether it takes her to a good level..(lol)

i dont want to be biased in rating this movie. i agreed with what pejakin said. i dont think the aim of the movie is to promote polygamy. so many things happen in life that might make poeple make bad decisiond. the story line has many twists, it might be directed to parents who tried to impose spouses on their children, or to wayward girls who will do anything to attract other sex. i am not in support of polygamy either, i think the housewife role (fali werepe) should have been more complicated than just accepting the fact that the husband shld marry another wife. and lets keep in mind also that nigerian women (especially those that are based in nigeria) will take all kind of insults in order to save therir marriages knowing fully well the stigma placed on divorcee. overall its a good acting and will rate it 3 for their efforts.----oluyemi

Having just watched this movie, i dont think it in any ways condone polygamy, it's just pointing out that "As you lay your bed, so shall you lie on it." she only settled for the best of the worse situation.
Overall, i think rather than promote polygamy, the movie is just calling a viewers' awareness to how making the wrong choices in life could lead you to the wrong place(s). the way 'joju' lived her life, lead her to her situation.
I applaud the entire cast for a story well played.

Very interesting but this film is encouraging polygamy and that is VERY WRONG. I don't have a polygamous experience but from what i know this is certainly not the true picture. This film deserves 4 STARS for acting but 1 star for storyline as i am TOTALLY AGAINST POLYGAMY.
