I got married to my wonderful pilot husband Captain Matthew Ekeinde Jr. on the 23rd of March 1996 at the Ikeja registry and later did my white wedding on board a Dash 7 aircraft flying Lagos to Benin on the 21st of April 2001.

I am from a family of five Mr. & Mrs. Shola Jalade and two brothers Tayo and Bolaji Jalade. I attended Christland Nursery School Opebi, Oxford Children School Santos Layout, Command Secondary School Kaduna and Yaba College of Technology where I read Estate Management.

I got married to my wonderful pilot husband Captain Matthew Ekeinde Jr. on the 23rd of March 1996 at the Ikeja registry and later did my white wedding on board a Dash 7 aircraft flying Lagos to Benin on the 21st of April 2001.

I am blessed with four adorable kids. Princess, M.J., Meriaih and Michael Ekeinde.

I modeled for a year (2003-2004), and did my first movie Venom of Justice (1995) and later did Mortal Inheritence that same year, which earned me The Best Actress in an English Speaking Movie...and Best Actress Overall.

I have gone ahead to star in about 250 movies since 1995. I have won about 22 local and international awards.

Aside from acting, I also have a passion for writing. I write poems and scripts. I also co-write some of the movies I star in. My famous column "Omotola's Diary" in teh Saturday Sun will soon be back.

i went further in my career by launching my much awaited debut album mon the 2nd of October 2005, to critial acclaim.

I also officially launched my NGO the Omotola Ekeinde Initiative for Youth Empowerment which had over 800 youths coming together for the Empowerment Walk and Convention. Among the speakers were, Prof Pat Utomi and Hon Abike Dabiri. In addition to this, I really like to work with children.

My passion and vision about life cannot be so had to know after all this, you have only one life. Be happy, make others happy, do what is right, and live your dreams.
