sorry to insert a sour note amidst these enthused reviews. I think this would have been a really good movie if the concept of guilt and justice was not so centered around a man's right to throw around petty suspicions. I would have liked the vindicated woman to put those who accused her through a painful process of coming to terms with their easy condemnation. Where is the trust of a husband, of a mother? Where is the woman's right to speak about her anger at what she went through? Notions of Justice are quite incomplete in this film and so is the woman's right to articulate her pain and to subject an unjustly distrustful man to some righteous indignation without having to hope for a supernatural visitation by a juju man. I thought that at the least, the wife and not the husband would have the last laugh. Not much of a lesson here for men!
