Another of those amazing Nollywood productions I classify as worthy human experience drama.
It's been meaningfully entertaining and thought-provoking watching this so far ...

Before i begin, let me note that i am naijaviews niece, and thus am reviewing this from quite a different perspective.
I give this part 4 stars. Superstory is always entertaining and this story on the effect lifes decisions have in future delivers. Plus I will watch ANYTHING with Gabriel Afolayan in it, at least twice. hence why i even clicked on this movie. It doesnt matter to me what kind of role he plays, though i do prefer him in yoruba movies cuz i feel he has more flow there. But his fine face is enough to keep my attention. He truly has what it takes to be the Teen Hearthrob of Nigerian girls everywhere.
Now onto the rest of the film.... I love superstory and what its given us over the years, but what i dont like is forced dialogue. Yes, finally we have a movie with serious script writers, and a serious budget but the actors still sound as though they are being held to gunpoint. When temisan talks, she sounds like someone who hasn’t quite finished at drama school…yes, she’s about 2 years from graduating. Take the scene at the end where she discovers the betrayal…and her line “You are soooo heartleeeessss” At that point, I didn’t feel an ounce of sympathy for her as she screeeeched that line out and the look on her face said otherwise. Rather, it seemed she had forgotten what her regular line was and was just barreling through the dialogue. My dear, I admire your clipped tones, but I will take razz pronounciation over your overdramatic acting anyday. Sadly, there was more unnatural dialogue coming from my sweetheart Gabriel Afolayan, when he is rebelling. Do boys really use words like “my mother is willing to forsake the pains of my life for her own happily ever after? In every day life? Me thinks not. Perhaps the writers should try consulting a young adult. But the worst acting came from that super awkward little half brother of Jimmy. Are there no good child actors in this country? Impossible, I have a few relatives who could do an outstanding job. Just once I’d like to see a movie where the children play roles that are intelligent and not just “dad-dy-you-said-you-would-buy-me-a-toy to-day” tokens. The little boy playing jimmys brother was so terrible I hated hearing him speak at all. He sounded like a robot learning to speak English with a Hungarian accent. I’d rather he played a mute character in fact.
That dialogue on womens purpose in life between Temisan and Omolara felt like a story i had heard too many times before. Yes, here is the girl who gives up everything, including her own son, for the sake of a ring. and here is another girl who wont give up everything for the sake of a ring. Are either of them happy? Not really…but of course i sided with Temisan (though i wish they would just call her TEMI for short once in a while, geez).
Well onto part 2, where I am hoping the actors loosen up a bit. And where I hope to see more of my sweetie Gabriel.

This movie had a very good storyline for a nigerian movie, which was good.
I feel that there could have been a bit more chemistry between the main characters (Temisan and the young boy). The scenes enacted by them didn't leave me wanting them to be together, which would have been nice.
However, all round a good movie.

Another materpiece from the makers of superstory, they make me very proud of the nigerian movie industry. The storyline was well thought of and the actors brillient. Definitely worth watching.

Strange things happen under the sun I know, but this one is rare. Nice to watch a film like this after so many weeks of "drought" on Izogn. Though the movie is a bit unconprehensive, it was nice to see good acts. Yea just good acts. Wale Adenuga started with a good and educative story line, but changed his mind on his line of story along the line (only God knows why). The story would have been so beautiful if it focused on effect of abandonment on children. All the same the story is still rare and beautiful.
