Early in life, Ifelola loses her parents in a quick successsion. This is quite devastating and with nobody to assist her financially, she finds it difficult to continue her education to the level she desires. Also for her to survive is a daunting task. So she resorts to doing a menial job.

Being a lady with a proper upbrining, her honesty and diligence really endeaer her to her boss, who gives Ifelola a go ahead to work with her friend, Adesola. Not long after, Adesola's son arrives from abroad with his fiance. But due to the fact that Tayo's fiancee gives him problems, he falls in love with Ifelola. Tayo decides to marry Ifelola instead, but his mother regards this as an abomination. Not when she is still alive will her son, on whom she has spent so much money to bring, will marry a servant. But Tayo insists its Ifelola or no other woman. This infuriates Tayos mother so much and she sets out to severe the relationship between her son and Ifelola.

So Ifelola leaves with two months pregnancy. Eventually Adesola realizes that for Tayo to live a peaceful life, he has to abandon the lady he came with from abroad and settle down with Ifelola. And so, Ifelola and Tayo would have to live the rest of their lives together.
