Sand In My Shoes provides some some of the answers to the question. This is a story of a man whose last chance of getting rich is solely dependent on the performance of his girlfriend during the upcoming tracks and field competition.
He dedicates all the time and his meager resources training his girlfriend for the event. However, a driver rams his car onto the girl thus breaking her leg.
All hope is shattered; the boyfriend is mad as hell and would stop at nothing to get even. The drive's love life is twisted, for spending most of his time in the hospital attending his accident victim.
Strife, jealous and confrontation proliferate among them.........................

I don't know what's great about this movie....on broken leg from an car accident...the car in question was probably doing 10kph...Unrealistic and Patrick Doyle...a matter for another day.
