Wickedness in high places! I knew the movie had potential and apart from the fact that I have yet to see what Joyce and the IG have to do with this whole story, I have to say the movie has in fact turned out to be a bit disturbing. It reminded me of the feeling I got when a friend of mine went missing some years back, that feeling of helplessness and not knowing what to do or where to start. Especially when, as this film shows, even the police have no plan of action. It makes you think of how many people just disappear off the face of the earth each day and no one knows what has happened to them. I felt for the poor man whose son was thrown out, to be caught twice. Ah! I am actually surprised he felt comfortable enough to even take a bus again after that. The movie even managed to have me on the edge of my seat a few times, so while it is far from perfect, it was an interesting depiction of how strategic the evil can be. Shine your eyes wide, eh! That song was so sorrowful, it almost made me cry. One other tiny thing, directors please find another way to intimate the fact that someone is in a cold city besides having them wear winter gear indoors. You did the same nonsense in "Boys in Holland." I mean shoot the scene outdoors and if that’s not possible and you feel just saying “I am in London” is not enough you could film the scene as they are walking indoors or something.
