On an objective level, the performance is commendable. Indeed, one's past is always part of one's life in realistic terms.

In terms of the Nigerian experience, this story is relevant with its elaborate plot. All the previous comments here, especially in the third part, saying that this movie is "nauseating near porn", "smells bad", etc. should calmy and reflectively note, in their anger, that reviewing a movie or any work of creative art is not about sentiments or uncalled for emotions. It is about seeing things objectively.

These movies do portray the kind of things that happen in the society. It is left for us, the people, like in Aristotle's concept of drama and theatre to learn from it and go out there with the resolve to make our societies better - especially in the Nigerian context.

This is not Bertolt Brecht's epic theatre where actors are not supposed to mimic real people. We cannot decieve ourselves by suspending believe that the story and plot does not portray the sad realities of our society.

Whether Monalisa Chinda and Clarion Chukwura are in the movie is not the point; and it does not in any way lower their worth. We should be encouraging and thanking these actors for having the courage to portray and shine the light on the evil in our society - so that we can change for the better. This is creative drama and actors have to portray the reality of our human situation - so that we can learn what is and become better people for the good of this dying world.

A reasonable plot in all of its serious, dramatic essence in portrayal of our society. Whether anyone appreciates it or not, this is a relevant story that should be told.

BOOFOONS and the peoples Money should be te title to this movie. As in our Nigeria Contracts are given to Boofoons who go a-spending without giving a damn about doing the Job....movie imitating life in Nigeria.
